Summer Vacation Part 2 of 4 (Road Trip to Cabot Trail, Nova Scotia)

We took the ferry from PEI to Nova Scotia and drove to Ingonish Beach, Cape Breton Island. We stayed two nights at the Keltic Lodge in Cape Breton National Park. The day we left we drove the remainder of the Cabot Trail stopping along the way for short hikes and take in the beautiful landscape and lookouts.

Summer Vacation Part 1 o 4 (Road Trip - to Prince Edward Island)

This year we decided to take a 10 day road trip to PEI/Nova Scotia before seeing grandma in Baie des Sables, Quebec. We stayed for 4 nights in Cavendish, PEI and explored the beaches, attractions and other parts of the island.

Henri's Garden

This year we decided to plant a big garden and grow our own vegetables instead of buying a harvest share at the local organic farm. We planted in a wide variety of vegetables that we will try to keep watered, weeded and fertilized over the summer (tomatoes, garlic, green onion, lettuce, zucchini, cucumbers, pumpkin, celery, carrots, strawberries, and peanuts).

Victoria Day Party

On May 24th, Henri invited his cousins over for lunch at our place. We had planned to have a bonfire in the afternoon but it was too hot so we just socialized and played in the yard. Taylor enjoyed spending time with the new chicks and grandpa had fun blowing bubbles for the kids.

Tree Swing & Hammock

Tristan & Henri spent a day this summer putting up a new tree swing and hammock. It took a bit of time tying the knots and getting the swing hung in the tree and making sure the hammock was high enough of the ground. Henri (and his mom & dad) enjoy relaxing in the new hammock.
