Royal Botanical Gardens

On July16, 2014 Henri met his cousins at Jeanette at the Royal Botanical Gardens. This was our first time at the gardens.

BBQ at Steve & Andrea's

On July 12th we had a family BBQ at Steve & Andrea's for Jeanette's visit. We enjoyed the get together and the swim.

Bell Homestead

On July 10, 2014 we went to the Bell Homestead in Brantford with Jeanette who was visiting from Scotland. The guided tour included lots of information about Alexander Graham Bell and the history of telephones. There were many historical artifacts including his first prototypes.

Happy Canada Day

July 1, 2014 Happy Canada Day!! We had Peter and his family over for a BBQ and later went to see the fireworks in Orton.

Deerhurst

In late June 2014, Steve and Andrea invited us to join them for a mini-vacation at Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville. We had a great time and the weather was just perfect for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and hiking.

Focus on Nature Hike

On June 17, 2014 Henri took part in the Focus on Nature Photography program arranged by Guelph Homeschool Group. Each participant took part in a walking photography field trip and together they edited and produced a slide show presentation. Below is a few of the photos from the nature walk (Tristan took the shot of the kids and Henri took all the other pictures).

COPA for Kids

 On June 7, 2014 Henri had an opportunity to fly in a small Cessna airplane with three other kids during the annual COPA for kids day at the Waterloo regional airport. The pilot took them on a short flight over Kitchener, Cambridge and Guelph.
