Dynamic Earth - Home of the Big Nickel

We went to Dynamic Earth on our last day in Sudbury. We took an underground tour through hard rock tunnels that accurately depicted mining in the early 1900s, 1950s, and today. Henri enjoyed the large exhibit of rocks and minerals. Henri completed a quiz and scavenger hunt to earn points to purchase rocks - of course he got a piece of Sudbury slag. So now, his rock collection at home contains quartz, slate, obsidian, and fools gold (many came from Grandma's house on the St. Lawrence).
